I’m often plagued with a fickle mind who never seems to know which path she wishes to take and has yet to even decide what she REALLY wants to be when she grows up…With that fickle mind, I’ve once again decided to make changes. Course I like to look at them as internal growth changes because my brain needs and enjoys constant stimulation (yeah…I get bored easy…course if you knew me personally you’d think I was stimulated enough with my life! LOL). I’m going to begin writing certain posts for other businesses as I use/review their products/services as they relate to me and my family in exchange for product/service/money. I will of course intertwine my blog with many other posts that are not business product/service related (if you couldn’t already tell, I started to do it in some in earlier posts).
With that…This blog has moved and gone self-hosted!!! The new site is located here: http://www.wifeandmomof3.net. It should be ready with all my stuff come Sunday evening.
I will continue to keep this blog up for awhile until all who currently link to me have the chance to record my new location.
As we all know, time evolves us and knew things occur in our lives which give us the need for change. I’ve decided to come off the WordPress hosted version so I may be able to do more writing freelance work and create an online used bookstore (yes hubby…I promise to finally get that up so we have a reason to have books that spill out into our garage). 2 things I am able to do on a self-hosted blog site (which I purchased through Gatorhost).
So what are you waiting for? Come on by the new place and let me know what you think come Monday! Don’t forget to drop me a line either in my first post or on my About Me page. I’ve never one been afraid of feedback:-)

Can you guess what we’ll be doing today? No cleaning, no tv, no music…just us and our books. Don’t you just love my mug?! Got from mom last Christmas; it says, “Shh…I’m reading” all over it!!
So no bloggy today, just us and our books. See that book on the coffee table? That’s Midwife of the Blue Ridge…it’s actually pretty good so far. Thanks Christine Blevins for giving me an advanced copy to review it for you! Books based in the past are ALWAYS my favorite (ESPECIALLY when you throw in a bit of romance and some sort of struggle)!! When I’m done with the book review (which I’ve promised to have posted by the 8th, you’ll be able to check it out at my book review site…The Book Faery Reviews. Stop by sometime and let me know what you think.
See you girls tomorrow sometime!

MMM…since I sometimes pretend that I’m an All-American Girl (“Oh-KAAAAAAY”)…thought I would share the BEST All American place for yummy breakfast (they also serve lunch/dinner) ANYTIME of the day that MY family LOVES to grub at…
IHOP!!! No…not the International House of Prayer (though we could all do/get a bit more)…not Information Hyperlinked over Proteins (yeah…I said the same thing…HUH?!)…But INTERNATIONAL HOUSE OF PANCAKES!!!!

Who DIDN’T get the smiley faced pancakes loaded with sugar when you were a kid?! And if you didn’t I’m so sorry!! I CRINGE now when they request all that sugar but then it’s NOT gonna kill ‘em…

OMG…Check out the Horton Hears a Who Pancake to help promote the latest movie!!! INSANE!!! Talk about a major sugar rush after eating THIS!!
I personally LOVE the steak omelet and country fried steak and eggs. And ALWAYS gotta get a loaded hashbrown with cheese, tomatoes, onions, and mushrooms!!! MMM…My mouth is watering so much I better grab the watering can to conserve water for the flowers! LOL…I crack me up sometimes…I make the stupidest jokes (at least I don’t CLAIM to be a comedian!!)…Wonder if I can convince hubby to take us there tonight (since we all know breakfast always seems to taste best at night)!
In case you’d like to know…IHOP is hosting a “Discover America Pancake Tour” til September 7th!!

Woohoo my FIRST Tuesday Toot Meme!! Perhaps THAT’S a TOOT in itself!!

Today my girlfriend and I went out to Chinese for lunch and as we were eating she was telling me she takes about 1 hr and 45 minutes to clean our neighbor’s 2 story house. I’m thinking…WHAT?! How is that even POSSIBLE! Course she’s been cleaning houses for a living for years so she probably has lots of tips and can get into that quick mode…
I get home and decide it’s 1pm and the little one needs to take a nap. Since she sleeps for typically about 2 hours long in the afternoon I thought it would be the PERFECT time to CLEAN EACH ROOM and spend only 15 minutes in each to master that 1 hour and 45 minutes…Throw on my MP3 player, crank up the volume, and head to the kitchen. After about 15 minutes the oven timer goes off and I’m only HALF WAY through my kitchen! I cleaned the microwave, stove top and door, dishes, fridge door, sink window glass, counters, things on counters, sweep, mop…and I hadn’t even cleaned the light fixture and 3 bay windows in the kitchen (that will just have to be another day)!! Then I’m jamming and nearly running through my living room with my dust rag (and break THREE of my faery figurines in one way or another…hope super glue works…they’re CRYSTAL from my hubby!! I REALLY hope he’s not reading this now…LOL). I vacuum, sweep/mop the foyer area and then clean up my bedroom/bathroom (STILL need to THOROUGHLY clean the bathrooms tomorrow!) some (dusting/vacuum). And it’s like 2.5 hours!!! The kids rooms and bathrooms AND laundry are STILL left to do!!
So today I bow down to my wonderful Kirby vacuum (course not nearly as much as the person who created a shrine to it below…LOL) even though I didn’t get everything done…for all was happy when they arrived home…TOOT TOOT for me!!

So do you have any good quick tips to make cleaning thoroughly go faster?!

Do you have night owls…
I mean kids that never seem to sleep early enough living under your roof like me?!
I have THREE children that no matter WHAT time I put them into their beds they manage to NOT go to sleep. I try to get the 2 year old in bed between 7:30 & 8:30 AND the older two to bed between 8:30 & 9:30 due to sport practices ending at 8…you’d THINK they’d be tired! Unfortunately…their WIRED! I’ve turned off TVs (yes…I’m one of those bad parents that have tvs in each bedroom)…I even sing all the songs I can think of yet they’re STILL awake!!! Sometimes wide awake staring at the ceiling welll after hubby and I got to sleep (and we’re night owls too! I know…we set bad examples…LOL). Every 30 minutes it seems you hear stomping towards the kitchen or bathroom by the older two (luckily the toddler ACTUALLY STAYS in bed!)…ERRR Constant knocking on our bedroom door when all we want is peace and the chance to be lovers (not sure why but that sounds funny here…LOL) and friends rather than mommies and daddies…DOUBLE ERRR
I’m tired of this routine especially with school in full swing. This means earlier wake up calls than the lazy summer days of sleeping in. Even the 2 year old has to be able to wake up early so she can be dressed to help mommy take her older brother and sister to the school bustop.
Hyland’s Calms Forte is DEFINTELY the ticket for your child to “reach their zen” (gosh…am I even saying that right?! Oh well…LOL). Check out the site below (course everything from the page IS below…LOL). Everyone took their suggested dose by 7pm tonight in hopes that they would be asleep BEFORE 9pm. These are TINY disolvable pills that caused no grief to the kids as far as keeping it down. Once they get the sleep pattern going they will stop taking the supplements (praying for week end) and hopefully their bodies will continue to sleep at its new accustomed time.
Hyland’s Calms Forté™ provides 100% all-natural, temporary symptomatic relief of simple nervous tension and insomnia (sleeplessness). Hyland’s Calms Forté™ works without contraindications or side effects. No drug hangover, no sedatives, just nature’s answer to a good night’s sleep.
Indications for Use: For the temporary symptomatic relief of simple nervous tension and sleeplessness.
Formula:
Passiflora 1X Triple Strength – for restless or wakeful sleep
from exhaustion
Avena Sativa 1X Double Strength – for stress, nervousness or
nervous headache
Humulus Lupulus 1X Double Strength – for drowsiness with
incomplete sleep
Chamomilla 2X (Chamomile) – for nervous irritability
And the following biochemic phosphates for enhancing cellular function:
Calcarea Phosphorica 3X HPUS, Ferrum Phosphoricum 3X HPUS, Kali Phosphoricum 3X HPUS, Natrum Phosphoricum 3X HPUS, Magnesia Phosphoricum 3X HPUS
Available in the following sizes:
32 caplets
50 tablets
100 tablets
For more information: Check Out All About Sleep – articles and tips to help you overcome sleep deprivation. This brand new site includes a dream log and free dream interpretation page.
Well…by 10pm ALL were sound asleep…THIS is a FIRST DEFINITELY for the oldest (the other two really vary in the department of when they EVENTUALLY go to sleep but for the oldest…MAJOR accomplishment)! SO I believe we’re going to take the dose right after dinner before 7pm in hopes that all will be asleep by 9/9:30pm tonight. And can you believe I was actually in bed by midnight last night?! THAT is a first as well!!! LOL

Not sure about you but gas here in Raleigh, NC is anywhere from $3.42 to $3.79 depending on the day of the week, time of day, and location. Over the past week I’ve paid $3.42 to $3.55 near my house. If you’re looking for the cheapest gas prices, check out Gas Buddy for your local city. The link here shows the current prices for Raleigh.
Gas Buddy currently lists the following 10 tips for conserving gas:
| 1 |
Avoid High Speeds |
As your speed increases, your aerodynamic drag increases in an exponential fashion. Driving 62 mph (100 km/h) vs 75 mph (120 km/h) will reduce fuel consumption by about 15%. |
| 2 |
Do Not Accelerate or Brake Hard |
By anticipating the traffic and applying slow steady acceleration and braking, fuel economy may increase by as much as 20%. |
| 3 |
Keep Tires Properly Inflated |
Keep tire air pressure at the level recommended by your vehicle manufacturer. A single tire under inflated by 2 PSI, increases fuel consumption by 1%. |
| 4 |
Use A/C Sparingly |
When the air conditioner is on it puts extra load on the engine forcing more fuel to be used (by about 20%). The defrost position on most vehicles also uses the air conditioner. |
| 5 |
Keep Windows Closed |
Windows open, especially at highway speeds, increase drag and result in decreased fuel economy of up to 10%. |
| 6 |
Service Vehicle Regularly |
Proper maintenance avoids poor fuel economy related to dirty air filters, old spark plugs or low fluid levels. |
| 7 |
Use Cruise Control |
Maintaining a constant speed over long distances often saves gas. |
| 8 |
Avoid Heavy Loads |
Remove the sand bags from your trunk in the spring and pack lightly for long trips. |
| 9 |
Avoid Long Idles |
If you anticipate being stopped for more than 1 minute, shut off the car. Restarting the car uses less fuel than letting it idle for this time. |
| 10 |
Purchase a Fuel Efficient Vehicle |
When buying a new vehicle examine the vehicle’s rated fuel efficiency. Usually choosing a small vehicle with a manual transmission will provide you with great fuel economy. |
You can find other gas saving tips at Opentravelinfo here: http://www.opentravelinfo.com/travel-guide/uncategorized/how-to-save-money-on-gas-29-tips.html.
Unfortunately hubby and I have gas guzzlers (‘04 AWD Ford Explorer and ‘96 4×4 GMC Sierra Extended Cab) and try our best to conserve as much as possible. Thank goodness I live in a subdivision with plenty of kids (although we ARE hoping for a little girl soon for my oldest to play with) as well as local girlfriends for me to hang out with as we end our evenings and the kids play. We live in an area that is growing like crazy with different stores and such nearby. I believe the nearest grocery store as well as the Super Wal-mart is about a mile up the street so if I REALLY wanted to (and ONLY if I buy a small thing…) I COULD walk. There is a public bustop a block from my house BUT I’m thinking it might not be as safe for the kids (don’t believe there are restraints and you can’t always gaurantee a seat) so I’ve never ridden it with them. My neighbor and I do occassionally go to the grocery store together to save gas. And there even this one particular discount grocery store (Aldi) we bring our own bags as they do not supply any which helps us be more green!
Since I am a SAHM and the older kids are back in school, I’m home more with the little one. Mainly I think because there isn’t as much demand for outside stimulation away from home (gee…I make my kids sound like demanding brats! LOL). The little one and I can find stimulation playing in our flower garden (we’re trying to save from our previous heat waves), dancing to music, coloring, and dress up so it’s fairly easy to entertain her without having to leave our driveway.
So how are gas prices in your area compared to us?

The other week I was cleaning out my file cabinet and located many photo envelopes filled with developed pictures as well as CDs and even discs of the kids over the past SEVEN years! Apparently I got too lazy between years 3-6 of their lives and haven’t either scrapbooked, printed the digital pictures out, or even checked out disc/CD contents! I EVEN had forgotten about those moments until I saw them!! Oh what a terrible mommy I AM!! LOL Over the past year I’ve found it easier (sooo impersonal, I know…) just posting the pictures online somewhere for friends and family or e-mailing pictures out and on a rare occasion I might actually print them out at the local Wal-mart photo lab BUT there just HAD to be SOME GOOD reason for doing so. Yep…another strike for me for not wanting to have billions of pictures of my 3 kids up for display…but honestly? I hate the cluttered look of still photograph frames all over the place and AT LEAST 2 out of 3 have a scrapbook of their first year (yes…I DO have the scrapbook and paper for the toddler so I can do one for her too)!! See…I’m NOT such a bad mommy after all.
Here’s what I think I should REALLY look into doing…
· Buy those digital frames that allow you to load up pictures then I won’t feel as cluttered. Who knows, maybe I could even find one that has a setting that will allow me to choose how often pictures are swapped out. If I go that route, I might one to get one to display just the kids and another one to display special events or holidays, and I should probably get another to display our families as well…THEN I won’t feel so physical photo cluttered yet STILL display some pictures of us!!

- Pandigital PAN80-2 8.0
· Find a couple of each kid and do ONE collage for their hallway. I might even convince myself to allow them to help me “throw the pictures down”. But knowing me I’ll probably end up catching the case of the OCD’s and not let them touch it in fear of them “messing up the disorganization”…OK…yeah…LOL They EVEN have photo college software like the one found at Photo Collage Studio (Google’s Picassa has one too and there’s no charge for THAT software!) to help you out so you can rearrange, rearrange, and rearrange if that anal…

- Example of Family Photo Collage
· Another idea would be to use an online company to take all of my digital pictures and make albums for me like Photo Works, Shutterfly, MyKoloAlbum, Snapfish, and MyPublisher. Since I appear to enjoy changing online layouts so much, why not do it with pictures and then have a more professional look than if I did it?! Another place to read up on coffee book albums check out Image Designer’s site. I personally like the print magazine syle photobooks. They are so much slimmer (just not too crazy about things that take up space like bulky albums)!! But then what do I do with all the PRINTED pictures that have not yet been entered into scrapbooks or albums?! I find plain albums absolutely too boring…ERRR any suggestions?!

- Photoworks Photo Book
Thank you Simple Mom!! You’ve INSPIRED me to declutter digitally! To read her full post check out

Well this mom here is going on a blog trip this week of September 1-5. It will be interesting to get to know other mom bloggers out there and why they blog. Do they blog because they like the creative outlet when life seems to be chaotic? Do they blog to promote their business or passion? OR do they blog to share their life with their family and friends? It seems we all have our reasons for blogging. I personally enjoy blogging about me, my family, random things (which all can be found at my mom blog site: Wife and Mom of 3) AND I enjoy blogging about the books I’ve come across (which can be found in The Book Faery Reviews).

So who wants to know about this mom blogger who loves being me, a wife, a mother, and a reader?! You obviously if you’re reading this post and I do hope you continue to read this one and any others on my site (don’t forget to leave a comment or two with your own blog/website and I’ll return the favor and stop by…who knows…we may end up enjoying each other’s company enough to exchange links or add to our RSS readers…).
Well… I am married to my high school heart who I have known half of my life. We’ve been married for 8 years and together are raising 3 beautiful children (2 girls and 1 boy).
I am currently a SAHM (stay at home mom…for anyone not familiar with the acronym). My older two are in 1st and 3rd grade while the youngest is at home with me during the day. I am in hopes of finding a job though as I DO feel like my brain is going to mush and I need more intelligent conversations throughout the day. Not that there is ANYTHING wrong with being a SAHM but playgroups and such just didn’t give me what I needed. I want to be able to converse with my hubby and friends about more topics aside from what Jr. did today…I just need my own personal stimulation.
Aside from my blogging, I enjoy spending time with my hubby and kids, hanging out with MY mommy (LOL…hey if the kids can do it, why can’t I?!), go-karting with the kids, 4-wheeling with my hubby, dancing with my kids, reading all kinds of books, cooking, hanging out on the deck with my girls with a “drink” and having one of our “board meetings”, and singing to my MP3 player (OMG…”there was this ONE time” I wasn’t expecting my husband’s best friend so soon for dinner and my son taps me on the hip with HIM behind me with a grin on his face as I’m jamming to a song while I cook dinner!! Talk about embarrassing!! I may have known him half my life too but STILL!! That’s the side he’s NEVER seen! LOL)
I love to sing (but just for my mom, sister, kids, and self…I know…), instead of shoes, I am a purse addict (in fact I just got my third Dooney and Burke purse and LOVE it!! Thank you Mom! A bit too conservative/business like for my girlfriends but SOOO me). I’m STILL on the search for a great Coach purse to add to my collection!! I’ve got a girlfriend who SWEARS her Coach hook up sells the REAL THING at a HUGE discount…so we’ll just have to check her out soon!
Some other tidbits about me…
- Though I am no longer a Catholic, I was baptized by the Pope in the Philippines where I was born in 1978.
- I am my son’s football “Team Mom”.
- I’m fascinated with faeries, dragons, and ghosts.
- I love the colors purple and dark red. (My wedding was in a smoky purple and I wear some sort of red piece of clothing to a job interview if I want it bad enough for the added confidence.)
- I was 2nd runner up to Miss Jr. Raleigh in 1994 and Miss Congeniality in that same pageant. My oldest daughter was 2nd runner up for a local pageant here and got Miss Smiley when she was 2 (she’s almost 9 now)!! How ironic…
- One of these days I WILL (power of determination!) to open up a café/bookstore.
- Before I turn 31 this December I want to get a tattoo…just debating on my faery facing the dragon or a faery sitting on books for my shoulder. It’s on my “to do before I die” list!

I live in Raleigh, NC where the seasons have typically changed over the years…meaning, the colors change in the fall, the weather is quite chilly in the winter, the flowers are all in bloom in the spring, and the air is perfect for a swim without burning your nostril hairs. However, I have to admit the past two years have been a bit odd and off in terms of weather pattern but I still love my North Carolina and YEP…I am a Southern Gal and enjoy the perfect pace of the south.
So there you go…a bit about me…what else do you want to know? Just leave me a comment and I’ll let you know! I’m a fairly open book as I am who I am and not ashamed of who I am (without the use of real names of course to protect my family the best I can online…course you know there’s always a risk to blogging freely online when it comes to your family)…
If you’re interested in joining this blog trip, then check out my earlier blog at: http://wifeandmomof3.wordpress.com/2008/08/23/im-going-on-a-blog-trip-sept-1-5/.

- My closest Krispy Kreme Doughnut store/drive-through is located in a shady side of town…
- McCain who I plan to vote for in the elections has chosen Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his VP choice. The Raleigh News and Observer has more about it if you click on the link…
- Myxer.com is an AWESOME site for FREE FREE FREE ABSOLUTELY FREE ringtones, wallpaper, calltones, etc.. Sprint charges $2.50 per call tone, ring tone, wallpaper and OTHER websites charge your cell phone bill about $9.99 a month for unlimited downloads. NO THANK YOU!! FREE I say (and I’m having a BLAST picking out the right songs for everyone on my list…ESPECIALLY the ones I don’t care for…LOL)!! Well free as long as you have free text messages and internet service on your cell like me)…
- Today is the THIRD day that SOMEONE in my house keeps locking the front SCREEN door (which I have NO key to) requiring me to walk around to the BACKDOOR!!! ERRRRRRRRRRRRR…
- I’m addicted to my computer to bog/surf the net/hunt for jobs through Monster.com and CareerBuilder/check out Cafemom, Facebook, & Myspace AND playing with my LG Rumor (I’ve used the Samsung A920 (the MP3 player was REALLY the only good feature), TREO 700wx (too bulky though the pictures and features were great), the little graphite color Centro (texting was a bit tedious with the tiny keypad and no MP3 player) and the Motorola i880 (MP3 player was great BUT pictures SUCKED, and you can’t get the REALLY free ringtones since it was a Nextel), but I think I rather like this one so far…easier in my palm, on the fingers for texting, seems to be easier to the ear, pictures not bad, BUT if you want to surf the net…not so much) I went back to Sprint’s CDMA after using Nextel’s IDEN for awhile JUST so I could text better, check e-mails, finally get FREE RINGTONES AND get a little better signal) cell phone (course NOTHING beats my books)…
So that’s it in a nutshell for today…course I seem to learn SOMETHING new everyday…don’t you?! Now since I spent SOOO much time on the computer, I’ve got to scramble to get clothes packed for the kids as they are sleeping out at relatives so hubby and I can have DATE NIGHT! Woohoo!!! It’s been awhile…

I’ve been busy with the 3 kids this summer and Monday the older two go back!!! YEAH!!! Anyone else as excited as I am?! Know what THAT means?! Between job hunting, I’ll have more time to clean/organize my house, blog, read, and job hunt!! The kids are actually excited about starting school and tomorrow will be the big day to find the perfect outfit, straighten my daughter’s unruly wavy hair the night before, prepare lunches, and HOPEFULLY get to sleep by 9pm!! I say hopefully because mine are night owls like their daddy and I and that has GOT to stop since we’re going to have to wake up by 6am to dress and eat breakfast so we can leave the house for school by 7:15 to get to the in-laws in time to catch the bus by 7:45. OMG…Do you know that since we’ve been out of school we’ve ALL been waking up between 9 and 11am?! That OBVIOUSLY is going to have to STOP!!
These past two days I have ACTUALLY gone through my 4 drawer file cabinet and the PILE of bills and papers on my floor next to my bookcase. I’m TRYING to get better organized and clear out my reading section in my room. This week I even need to contact all of the credit agencies and get updated copies of our credit reports and see if there is anything I can get rid of on the list. I want to be able to BUY a bigger home in about 2 years!! At the rate we’re going now, I don’t see how that will ever happen! UGH…
Last Thursday we visited the kids new school, met their teachers, and even fdiscovered that some our my current girlfriends have kids that attend there as well as some of the boys from son’s football team! It’s about TIME!!! I’ve been tired of going to schools where I don’t seem to know the parents and kids that well. Which now means mine have more friends to play with outside of school! The new school they will be attending is about 5 years old and STILL looks brand new! No more cubby sharing for the kids and I just have a good feeling about this school. In addition…the local rec center is in the same center the Elementary and Highschool is located which means that during off seasons they can attend activities at the rec center right after school to keep them active at a CHEAP deal! My oldest daughter loved Tae-Kwondo and that’s one of the activities they have and it’s only $20 a month for an hour a week!
My oldest daughter had her first soccer game today after only having had TWO practices. I was a bit worried that it was too soon since this is her first year…but I was SOOOO proud of my goalie/right defender!! I hate that my digital camera is not currently working (I think I’m going to have to add it to my Christmas/Birthday wish list)!! Although I think I’m now going to have to start running with her during the week to help her get her speed up as far as hustling to get the ball. BUT that will be a good thing for me as well.
Little man has been having a BLAST with football, his dad has been loving acting as one of the assistant coaches and I’m enjoying getting to know all the parents as the Team Mom. They seem to all flock to hubby and I more than the head coach which is rather funny but the head coach has praised us for all of our help with the team. It’s rather cute watching little man tackle…he looks like a jumping squarrel and the funniest thing is that he is the TINIEST on the team so his tackling is definitely going to trip out and surprise his oppenent in the game! This work he wore his full gear and that child reminds me of that Gimli guy from The Lord of the Rings since he was the shortest stockiest; not that mine is stocky but, with all the padding it’s hilarious!!
Monday my youngest daughter and I and I are going to head to Social Services in hopes of being able to apply for NC Health Choice for all 3 kids (if we get approved it will only be $100 for ALL three for the entire YEAR!). Right now we’re spending $700 for our current medical insurance plan and it’s KILLING us with me not working! That’s the cost of both of our vehicle payments which means we’re nearly $700 in the hole each month and now $700 OVER BUDGET!!! UGH…how can you get debt free and save when you’re SOOO in the hole without filing bankruptcy?! UGH…I SOO need to take advantage of the Angel Food Ministry program (which is and AWESOME food program that EVERYONE qualifies for) but everytime I say we will, the money is always needed for some other thing! UGH…SOOO rebudgeting is something I need to redo this week…
I did open up my own checking account through Washington Mutual (WAMU) for the first time since I’ve been married (my checks even arrived today and I placed the order this past Wednesday through Vista Prints free checks deal! This will help me feel a bit more indepent now again. We’ve always had joint savings and checking and then I had a prepaid card that I had set my own personal allowance into when I was working but recently I’ve stopped using it since I can’t seperate my unemployment checks into multiple accounts.
Tuesday I hope to get my in-laws to watch the littlest so I can go ahead and enroll with 3 other contracting agencies because SURELY out of 4 agencies, SOMETHING HAS to come up!!
Lately i’ve been heavily engaged with my 2 blogs that I’ve redone and found niches for. You should check my other blog called The Book Faery Reviews: www.tbfreviews.wordpress.com. I am not a professional writing but I’ve been enjoying myself and I’m so proud of myself! I love these two so much better than the ones I had done before and they are definitely more me. Can’t believe it took me so many different ways to get ones to really suit me.
I’ve been getting books from new authors and publishers through Cafemom & LibraryThing to review books so I’ve been reading alot. I feel like new books are coming in weekly lately! Though I’m not being paid for my reviews at least I’m getting brand new books for free!! I just LOVE reading! I’ve been working on improving my blog audience and networking with others in the same area of blog niche. This has defintely been helping me feel at least a little accomplished AND it’s great to journal your thoughts and experiences (course I do do it without adding our names to keep SOME sort of anonimity).
I’ve been practicing more Reiki lately as well. Does WONDERS for the two year old to help her sleep, some of my friends (and even hubby) have let me work on them and it’s amazing when I can FEEL the exact spot of their problems PRIOR to them telling me what’s been ailing them! I might need to try it on the two older ones before bed to help them relax enough to sleep at night.
So…anyone as excited as me to get the kids back into school?! The ONLY thing I’m dreading though is OBVIOUSLY all the homework…
